ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
The curriculum and studying plans of the Kyiv Medical University of UAFM are developed in accordance with the state standards of the higher medical education; the students have an exclusive opportunity to study classical medicine along with complementary one. Pharmacognosy, Phytotherapy, Homeopathy, Manual Therapy,Reflexotherapy, etc. are some of the examples of elective courses in complementary medicine.
After graduating from the university, prospective students receive state standard diploma of a higher medical education.
Competent teaching staff is concerned about providing high level of support. The total number of teachers is about 250; the majority of therm have scientific degrees as well as wide experience of pedagogical work. Special attention is given to the each and every student, so that our graduates are competitive on the national and international labor markets. Moreover, actively running student government, allows students to retain a dynamic student life.
Upon completion of the studies at university young professionals can apply in their daily practice the knowledge and skills of both classical and traditional-complementary medicine. This trend is closely affiliated with the main goal of the education at University: to train medical specialists capable to combine knowledge of the official and complementary treating methods while practicing.
At present there are about 1.500 students at the Kyiv Medical University from 17 countries of the world.

FACILITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY
Once a student pays his yearly Tuition and hostel fees to the University he/she is automatically entitled to the following facilities of the University:
* Every student will get furnished hostel accommodation single, double or triple type of room) having the following facilities. There are separate rooms for girls.
* Furniture which includes bed, study table, visitors chairs, bookshelf, side table, etc.
* Mattresses, blanket, bed sheets, pillow, curtains, etc.
* Common kitchen with all amenities except utensils
* Common recreation center
* Electricity
* Hot and cold water supply
* Centralized heaters to keep the hostel rooms warm on winter between November and March
* Lift facilities
* Every weekend the students get their bedspreads, blankets and pillow covers changed
* Free books, course materials and printed lecture notes are given for all subjects. The lecture notes can be used for all exam preparation in India including the screening test and PG entrance exams in all states of
India.
* Medical facilities including accident insurance (upon payment of Medical insurance)
* Free on call emergency ambulance services
