10+2 the prospective student must have got his 10+2 (certificate). Better if he has pass with Minimum 50% of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Recently, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have passed the NMC (National Medical Commission) Bill, according to which NMC will replace MCI and will be in charge of medical education in the country.

As per the Bill, there will be a common final year MBBS exam which will be known as the National Exit Test (NEXT).
